Security Architect
 
KAI Partners is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Security Architect This role is responsible for the development of a secure system and network architecture defining controls, technologies, and frameworks that align with cybersecurity requirements and policies. Perform risk assessments and build mitigation strategies and response plans as appropriate.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Plan and design security solutions and capabilities that enable the organization to identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Define and develop security requirements using risk assessments, threat modeling, testing, and analysis of existing systems.
  • Develop security integration plans to protect existing infrastructure and incorporate future solutions. Creates action plans for policy creation and governance, system hardening, monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and emerging cybersecurity threats. 
  • Utilize security information and event management (SEIM), data loss prevention (DLP), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and other tools in action plan designs.
  • Review current architectures and systems to ensure consistency and compliance with the organization's guidelines, policies, and standards.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the latest cyber threat technologies and methods.
  • May act as a project team leader or as a cybersecurity subject matter expert.
  • Work on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues that require innovative technical or industry knowledge.
  • Evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the organization, technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned. 
 Skills and Qualifications: 
  • Expertise in security analysis, design, estimation, development, testing, enhancements, 
    support, and related activities for large-scale environments.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls.
  • Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no supervision. 
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts and theories for a variety of projects.
  • A high degree of flexibility and ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization with diverse backgrounds.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking.
  • Expertise in .Net Core 5.0, SQL Server, API, ASP.NET, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, and Cloud Technologies.
Work/Education Experience:   
  • 10+ years of related experience such as architectural security patterns and or framework concepts. (Mandatory)
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, or relevant field (Mandatory)
Compensation Range: $120,000 – $160,000
 
The salary range for this role may vary depending on the specific geographic location where this position is ultimately filled. Several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, certifications, pay equity, and organizational needs, are considered when determining the posted salary range. In addition, eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
