Quality Assurance (QA) Oversight Lead

 

Job Summary

KAI Partners is looking for a dynamic, motivated, client-focused Quality Assurance (QA) Oversight Lead. The QA Oversight Lead is responsible for conducting analyses and quality tests for software programs and development. As a QA Oversight Lead, this role calls for team leadership to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle by performing evaluations, troubleshooting, and developing documentation in alignment with the industry’s best practices.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee-related activities to ensure accuracy and timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Maintain and oversee all aspects of an approved QA Plan including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met
  • Monitors proper system configuration management of testing tools, system environments and schedules established to execute appropriate test scenarios
  • Review QA Metrics within all project areas including application development, operation, implementation, technology, and data conversion
  • Perform audits to ensure all project areas are following the approved QA process
  • Identify and report all findings including issues and risks

 

Technical Skills:

  • Strong technical analysis skills for troubleshooting issues in highly complex architectural environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Must have strong organizational skills and demonstrate clear attention to detail

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • More than 5 years of experience as a Lead tester
  • Knowledge of common testing procedures and methodologies
  • Knowledge of IT industry standard test management and test automation tools
  • Experience in waterfall, agile and iterative SDLC models and mixed models (i.e., multiple SDLCs occurring concurrently)
