Organizational Change Management Practitioner

KAI Partners is recruiting a motivated and client-focused Organizational Change Management (OCM) Practitioner.  The role focuses on delivering client solutions on the people side of change, including changes to organizational structure, culture, job roles, business process, systems, and technologies. The primary goal is to create and deliver change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage while employing effective resistance management. OCM strategies includes implementing an effective organizational change methodology, including formal assessments, Change Management Plan, Communications Plan, Resistance Management Plan and Training Plan. OCM strategies will address the methods and tactics needed to affect and sustain desired behaviors that best fit the client’s goals and organizational culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead small to medium-scale organizational change initiatives strategizing with executive leadership and project teams to deliver business outcomes
  • Develop, own, manage, and operationalize OCM strategies and plans, including stakeholder assessment, communications, resistance management, change impact and readiness plans, and training
  • Maintain excellent delivery relationships with the client
  • Provide executive and stakeholder OCM coaching and support to help them fulfil role of change sponsor and change champions
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop change management competency and ensure project sponsors, steering committees, project teams, and change agents are well-versed in leading change
  • Design, develop and implement communication campaigns to prepare staff for changes and develop a change-ready culture to maximize employee adoption and utilization
  • Prepare, lead, and/or facilitate meetings with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Implement collaborative tactics for continuous improvement of OCM strategies including working with existing project teams and other stakeholders or consultants
  • Develop As-is and To-Be processes, conducting gap and impact analysis
  • Lead /partner with communications, training and OCM Team as required
  • Apply technical and business knowledge to execute strategies with cross-functional team members and stakeholders
  • Apply business acumen to support development of short and long-term project goals, KPIs and business objectives
  • When applicable, work with project manager to ensure change management activities are integrated into project schedule
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills by building and maintaining critical business relationships with key stakeholders on OCM needs

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and lead or be part of workgroups on company initiatives
  • Working knowledge and application of various change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, Kotter, Bridges, etc.)
  • Strong computer proficiency (MS Office, PPT, Visio)
  • Working knowledge and ability to apply latest technologies to serve client needs (web conferencing, online collaboration tools)
  • Previous experience with system implementations helpful
  • Basic understanding of project management basics (PMBOK)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practice
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 5-7 years working in an Organizational Change Management role
  • Prosci Change Management Certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
