Description

KAI Partners is currently seeking experienced, motivated, and flexible candidates, to join our team in the role of Business Analyst. The Business Analyst is responsible for work that involves applying analytical processes to the planning, design and implementation of new and improved business information systems and business processes to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and/or take direction from a project manager to work with clients to collect, develop, document, confirm, and update client compliance with certification requirements
  • Facilitate the development of and document pre-project initiation activities
  • Conduct document reviews in detail, refine documents and consolidate feedback
  • Support client to develop professional and compelling PAL documentation
  • Monitor, track, and report on client projects for governance and communication purposes
  • Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action
  • Leverage advanced data tools such as Excel, Access, Tableau, and Power BI to design effective data visualizations for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data
  • Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgement on responsibilities and assignments
  • Complies with agreed engagement and quality management processes and standards
  • Holds themselves to the highest level of professionalism as per KAI Partners standards and ethics
  • Supports the KAI back-office team with all the requests in support and growth
  • Contributes regularly to continuous improvements of the delivery organization
  • Other duties as assigned, including internal projects and business development
  • Performs work under general supervision in adherence to company’s standard

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree (additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis)
  • Experience creating processes and writing Project Management Plans
  • Experience with California state governance and project approval structures
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form
  • Excellent analytical skill and detail orientation
  • Experience with Business Process Mapping (BPM) 
  • Performing OCM functions within a state environment
  • Enterprise data management systems
  • Project management tools such as Microsoft project
  • Creating project dashboards or other reporting mechanisms
  • Prosci Certification preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Must be comfortable presenting data to clients
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Power BI, Access, Forms, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices under general supervision
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Continuously learn new technologies, methodologies, in their SME area to advance the KAI Partners and the client body of knowledge
