Job Description

We are currently hiring a Collections Specialist to join our crew. This individual will be a key member of our growing finance team and will handle direct communications with our clients to collect payments in a timely manner. The Sr. Collections Specialist will work closely with the Head of Collections and our internal collections department, to reach company goals in collecting payments from customers under the allotted payment terms. 


  • Overseeing team members and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing of customers.
  • Setting payment collection goals and targets for the team.
  • Creating and implementing a strategy to improve the collection of outstanding credit.
  • Implementing collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding credit.
  • Ensuring that the company policy on recoveries is followed and that it is in line with company objectives.
  • Negotiating with customers in cases when non-payment occurs.
  • Preparing monthly feedback reports on payment collections.
  • Remaining informed of any legislative procedural training regarding debt collection.
  • Training and leading team members in the collections department.


  • 1-2 years business development background; sales and marketing industry preferred
  • At least 1 or more years experience working with businesses handling their questions and/or issues
  • Salesforce experience would be a plus
  • Experience making high levels in outbound calls to B2B clients 
  • Excellent communication skills in order to interact effectively with our customers (via email/phone)
  • Comfortable learning new technologies
  • Passion for consistently providing world class customer experiences and the willingness to learn and help
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Problem solver and results driven: you can quickly think on your feet and are comfortable managing several competing tasks and issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
