Who We Are Looking For:

Are you the Developmental Specialist (Case Manager) we have been looking for? Berkshire Meadows is a residential school for children with complex medical, intellectual and developmental differences. The 365-day-a-year program includes educational, nursing and medical services, allied health services, and activities of daily living development. Set in the picturesque Berkshire Hills, Berkshire Meadows has homelike residences that are fully accessible homes and enable and maximize growth and skill development.

JRI Provides The Training So That:

  • YOU design and monitor the Day Habilitation Service Plans for each client (following Specialized Service Needs Areas prescribed by Day Habilitation regulations).
  • YOU will supervise direct care staff working with clients on caseload.
  • YOU will complete necessary record keeping in a confidential, professional and timely manner. This includes the completion and maintenance of all internal and external documentation.
  • YOU will manage client’s case records and other record keeping systems.
  • YOU will assist with the development and implementation of ISP support strategies.
  • YOU will communicate with other service providers, guardians and families.
  • YOU will provide supervision and delegation of duties to direct care staff.
  • YOU will implement behavior plans and guidelines as needed including providing training to staff on individuals’ plan and guidelines.
  • YOU will assist individuals in communicating their needs and desires and address them as they arise.
  • YOU will collaborate with specialists in the use of specialized supportive equipment, adaptive technology and communication devices

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • High School diploma (or equivalent)
  • Must have at least one year of experience supervising and managing individuals with special needs
  • Good written and oral communication required
  • Competence in the use of Microsoft Word required
  • Meet programs requirements for background checks
  • Able to work alone in an unsupervised environment
  • Must provide proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 (including booster).
