Are you the Classroom Support Staff we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth!

Bay Cove Academy is a small, therapeutic day school serving adolescents, ages 12-21, who have a wide range of serious emotional, and or learning difficulties. Our staff provide a highly structured, learning environment for teens whose educational and social needs exceed those which traditional public and private schools can accommodate. We provide education, career development, and clinical service. 

JRI provides the training so that: 

  • YOU will establish and foster positive relationships with students, work cooperatively and collaboratively with all staff. 
  • YOU will provide a climate of social/emotional support that enables students to take learning risks consistent with the educational, clinical, career and transitional goals prescribed in the IEP.
  • YOU assist in assigned classes and in the coordination and operation of all aspects of the school milieu, and participate in aspects of the Career Development Program. 
  •  YOU will share responsibility for total school programing, attend all meetings designed to develop educational and treatment plans, and participate in committee work.

Requirements: 

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree are preferred. 
  • Candidates must have experience working with adolescents with complex mental health and learning needs. 
  • Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
  • At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our youth. 
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
