Who We Are Looking For: 
 
Chesterfield Group Home is a therapeutic group home, located on two acres in Oakdale, CT (Montville, CT). The program serves young men who are involved with the Connecticut DCF. 
 
We are seeking Residential Counselors to effectively support the development and growth of young adults who have experienced significant emotional challenges. Our residential counselors are passionate about learning effective skills to better serve these young adults, display creative engagement tactics, and provide a safe environment for them to be successful. We take pride in our ability to maintain the consistent, structured routines of the program while also providing safety and regulation through twenty-four hour supervision and direct care. 
 
Schedule: Full-time, 2nd Shift and Per Diem Available 
 
Salary: $19 - $21/hr 
 
Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated. 
 
What You'll Do: 
  • Perform direct care responsibilities within the group home.
  • Direct supervision of students within the group home while maintaining the safety and security procedures as outlined by agency and program policy and procedures.
  • Lead by example and role model for all staff and students appropriate professional behavior within a group home setting. Handle special projects as assigned by the Administrative Team, or designee.

Requirements: 
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Must have High School Diploma. Some college education preferred.
  • Experience is a group home, residential program or mental health facility preferred.
  • Valid Drivers License.
