Sales Manager - US & Canada

As a multi-channel brand with a global appeal, we carefully design clothing, footwear and accessories for women, men, children and babies – whilst our homeware, toiletries, eyewear and other new collections are constantly expanding.

Due to our growing success in the US - mainly through wholesale channel partnerships with retailers such as Dillards and Nordstrom (alongside nearly 600 independents) we are looking to recruit a Sales Manager for US & Canada.

Responsibilities will include
  • Management and leadership of the Sales Team and Reps for the US and Canada
  • Identify & target new business and own the on boarding process for new National Accounts
  • Support NAMS with strategy plans with our National Accounts to ensure the business continues to grow in a profitable way for both parties
  • Monitor and report ‘on-time-in-full’ position of order-book
  • Support the GM and Head of Finance to identify both future and in-season growth opportunities and drive forward the wholesale channel
  • Work closely with the Wholesale Ops & Finance teams to ensure we deliver the order book & provide a high level of customer service
  • Create reports & information to support business updates, trading & channel meetings to inform decision making
  • Build strong relationships with wholesale partners and internal stakeholders
  • Ownership of seasonal budgets and ensuring these are met
  • Proactively partner with all key stakeholders to continually review and implement revised ways of working
  • Support the Product Executive by providing information & market/competitor intel to help the building of future ranges
  • Support the sales team when required with customer meetings
  • Accountable for forecasting of seasonal ranges for gender/category for territory
  • Continually review and create ideas to improve ways of working and processes to achieve greater efficiency
  • Actively participate in team discussions and activities when required
  • Always looking for opportunities to grow the wholesale business
  • Implement & deliver objectives for Sales team & Agents
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships and partnerships with both internal and external partners
  • Decide on commercial decisions for your team to maximize sales, growth, sell through & profit
  • Partner with Legal to ensure we follow all legal requirements for Country specifics & compliance
  • Reps - Following the legal guidelines in contracts, ensure we are clear & following Joules expectations, ways of working & setting targets
  • Ensure all HR policies & procedures are followed across the team & conduct regular 1-2-1 catch ups
  • Identify & deliver training and development needs across the team
  • Create & deliver professional presentations to a mix of audience

What are we looking for:
  • Experience in Team management and Sales Representatives
  • Proven track record of success in Senior Account Management
  • Previous experience of working with US National Retailers and owning the successful on-boarding of new business
  • Strong leadership & management skills, and the ability to influence at a senior level
  • Financial knowledge - understanding profit & loss, with the ability to think in a commercial way to protect profit & sales
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, decision making and problem solving skills, with the ability to challenge where appropriate
  • Confidence & experience in creating & delivering presentations to senior management
  • Strong IT skills, full understanding and experience of using Microsoft office. Analytical skills & thinking and good excel knowledge
  • Organized & ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Accurate and excellent standards of written and verbal communication
  • Ability to be proactive & reactive
  • Full driving license & willing to travel
