Business Intelligence Developer – HYBRID WORKING
The role of Business Intelligence Developer, sits in our remarkable Digital department where you will work closely with the rest of the Business Intelligence Team to deliver on Business Intelligence and Customer Insight solutions here at Joules. You will be supporting existing BI systems while also developing new and innovative tools to dive the business forward.
Day to day as a Business Intelligence Developer:
- Maintain and provide support to the current Data Warehouse.
- Ensure all channels of the business receive accurate information when required.
- Write new, innovative reports for all channels of the business, helping them to make better decisions.
- Maintain the security of the Data Warehouse for reporting and data.
- Utilise the full Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence stack to provide the best suitable access to data/reports etc.
- Leading and advising stakeholders on how data is organised.
- Investigate and rectify data issues using tools at your disposal or suggesting additional toolsets.
- Monitor and diagnose issues with daily data feeds.
- Optimise and performance manage the developments undertaken.
- Ensure all data is stored and managed in accordance with the GDPR guidelines
What we need you to have:
- High level of proven experience using the full MSBI stack.
- Knowledge of a multi-channel retailer environment.
- Previous experience using and maintaining a Data Warehouse in SQL server.
- Proven ability to write MDX, DAX, and SQL statements effectively to gather and report information.
- Experience of using PowerBI
- Basic knowledge of Azure technologies.

- MSBI Stack – SSIS, SSRS, MDS, SSAS (bother tabular & multidimensional)
- Querty languages – T-SQL, DAX
- SQL Server – 2017 and above.
- Databases – SQL Server 2008R2 and above.
- Team Foundation Server 2013.
- Querty languages – MDX, PL-SQL
- Programming languages – C#.Net
- Databases – Oracle, Progress, Dynamics AX & 365
