What you will do:

Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will be both a team leader and strong individual contributor responsible for managing the accounting, financial reporting, tax, internal controls, forecasting, and financial systems.

Operational Management

  • Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensure ongoing and accurate financial management of cashflow, accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections, payroll, general ledger, audit, budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling
  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure to achieve the department’s goals and objectives
  • Oversee cash management
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with banks, vendors, customers and internal business/clients
  • Support the executive team of the company in driving best practices across the company in corporate governance, ethical standards and sustainable business practices.
  • Act as key representative of the Accounting/Finance Team in cross-functional group projects

Reporting

  • Issue timely and complete financial statements up through consolidation of multiple entities
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
  • Provide financial analyses, particularly for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
  • Preparing analysis and presentation materials as needed by the CFO including statements and projections relating to profitability, feasibility and financial statement impact, including support for Board presentations and analysis in support of investor relations.
  • Adapt and implement updates to financials based on latest FASB

Compliance

  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MBA preferred
  • CPA designation
  • 10+ years of experience with a combination of public accounting and private industry experience
  • Experience and comfort in building systems and controls from the ground-up in a high-growth, start-up environment; SaaS, B2B, high-tech preferred
  • Sage Intacct a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP including software revenue recognition
  • Experience in financial statement preparation and knowledge of major accounting systems
  • Ability to solve problems and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
