WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This is truly an exciting time to join our UX team at Jobvite! We are in the process of building a small but exceptional team of UX practitioners, thinkers, and evangelists. Designing Jobvite's user experience presents unique challenges towards making a complex recruiting process and workflow intuitive, efficient, and easy to use for recruiters, hiring managers, employees and job seekers. There are several critical projects in play at this time that you will be involved in, including (but not limited to):

  • Unifying the UI across Jobvite and its three, newly-acquired sister companies
  • Creating a brand-new Design System for Jobvite
  • Overhauling the entire UI/UX of the Jobvite platform

This role is for a mid-level UX Designer with exceptional skills in UI Design (high-fidelity comps, Visual Design) and Interaction Design (prototyping, animation). The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior UI skills, be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with fellow UX designers, product owners, and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Executing all visual design stages, from concept to final hand-off and design execution with engineering
  • Conceptualizing original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Designing product assets including logos, icons and infographics
  • Establishing and promoting design guidelines, best practices and standards

WHAT WILL YOU BRING:

  • BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or other design related field
  • 4+ years of B2B SaaS Enterprise application design (not website design)
  • Proven UI experience
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Proficiency in Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, or other design suites and prototyping tools such as InVision (Principle a plus)
  • Strong UI Design, Visual Design, Graphics Design skills, with sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • Solid foundation in typography, color, layout and design
  • Minimalistic, modern, and clean design sensibilities
  • Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Lean UX practice and ability to work well in a user-centered agile design process by actively collaborating with Engineering and Product teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail - from design inception to design execution
  • Last but not least, a strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, problem solving, hands-on creativity, and overall design competence

NICE TO HAVE

  • Some design agency experience
  • Hands-on proficiency with creating/maintaining Design Systems
  • Demonstrable experience working with UI/Front-end Design frameworks (like Material-UI, React, Angular)
  • Mentoring experience
  • Designing for in-app messaging (walkthroughs, surveys, self-guided on-boarding, etc.)
  • Front end HTML/CSS hands-on development
  • Data visualization skills
