Fleet Optimization Specialist
Description
Position Summary:
The Fleet Optimization Specialist is responsible for optimizing the company’s fleet schedule and for assigning all Jet Linx Member flights to in-fleet or off-fleet aircraft, while paying specific attention to base financial goals and aircraft hourly requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assign all Jet Linx Member flights to in-fleet or off-fleet aircraft while considering a number of factors including client preference, financial profit/loss, aircraft performance, etc.
- Source off-fleet aircraft when necessary
- Handle all details with off-fleet vendors including trip itineraries, payment, etc.
- Assist in recovering any Member/Charter/Owner mechanical issues
- Resolve any pop-up/ASAP flights in a timely manner
- Work with Fleet Optimization Managers on a daily basis to ensure appropriate hours are on the fleet and that appropriate trade-offs are being made regarding outsourcing vs. flying aircraft within the fleet
- Work with Client Service team to provide options, solutions, and the highest level of customer service
- Assist in identifying monthly, quarterly and annual department goals
- Research, collect, analyze and interpret industry trends both nationally and within local markets to ensure the brand is being marketed and considered
- Serve as point of contact for off-fleet vendor relations, handling any service issues/concerns
- Arrange site visits with off-fleet vendors when necessary to bolster relationships and improve service
- Maintain solid understanding of local and national trends
- Share in the on-call rotation as needed and on designated nights/holidays
- Other related duties as assigned

- Possess well-rounded understanding of JLA business model and projected growth
- Ability to think outside of the box

- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite application
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the Company
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to work under minimal supervision

- Self-motivated and independent problem-solving ability

- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
- 3 or more years of related Aviation experience;
- Or, equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Requirements:
- Majority of work is completed in a normal office work environment
- Communicate through verbal, written and/or electronic means
- Operate office equipment such as telephone, computer, printer, fax, postage meter, etc.
- Move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis
- Access filing cabinets, drawers and shelves of varying heights
Documentation Requirements:
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license
- Proof of eligibility to work in the US
