Flight Coordination Specialist - Part Time

Summary:
The Flight Coordination Specialist is responsible for managing and reviewing all Operational aspects of every Jet Linx booked flight.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as primary point of contact for all Jet L Base Teams and Fleet Management teams on answering any operational questions and concerns.
- Review each booking assessing all operational aspects to include but not limited to runway/airport conditions, NOTAMS, curfews, facility amenities, any reservation requirements.
- Obtain and confirm any airport reservations to include parking reservations or permits at private airports, for events and/or Arrival or Departure slots set by the FAA.
- Coordinate with crew to plan efficient technical stops, customs clearances, and aircraft logistics (de-icing, hangar rentals, etc.).
- Coordinate FBO assignments as needed and perform FBO notification day prior.
- Day Prior review aircraft assignment (for both in fleet and out of fleet) and work with Fleet Management on any operational concerns due to aircraft, flight route, airport/FBO/runway restrictions, weather, etc.
- Work with appropriate department(s) on flight releases and distribute crew briefings.
- Have a constant and updated understanding on any weather patterns major or minor that could impact any flights and communicate to appropriate teams.
- Day of management of Daily Operations Review process, ensuring all day of open items are managed and complete.
- Assist pilots in Flight Planning when needed.
- Assist the fuel desk with any fuel purchases or tankering planning.
- Complete all necessary checklists on a trip-by-trip basis.
- Assist in housekeeping tasks to include verifying/auditing day prior flight logs.
- Create OSA (Operations and Service Alert) when necessary.
- Maintain solid understanding of peak travel times (Holidays, Mountain flow control, Super Bowl, etc.) and communicate with appropriate notice of any potential issues and plan.
- Understand and be familiar with Jet Linx Emergency Response plan.
- Understand and be familiar with Jet Linx Safety Management.
- Regular and predictable on-site attendance.
- Demonstrate Jet Linx’s core values and “Supply the High” in all interactions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work both independently and as part of team
- Familiarity with general aviation flight operations and Flight Operation System (FOS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the company and its customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
- Self-motivated and willingness to take initiative to research and resolve problems
- Ability to multi-task and complete work within assigned timelines under minimal supervision Ability to work with frequent changes in procedures, directions, and outcomes
- Ability to work flexible, non-standard hours
- Operate office equipment as needed
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of aviation experience required
- Previous Part 135 experience with high volume and/or large fleet size required
- Physical Requirements:
- Majority of work is completed in a normal office work environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Able to complete physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing to perform daily work functions
- Must be able to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis
Compensation:
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package to team members. Starting hourly wages for this position ranges from $23 to $32 /hour. Actual hourly rates are provided is dependent upon geographic location, aircraft size (crew positions), relevant education, training and experience of the candidate.
