Jefferson Solutions, the government consulting company of Jefferson Consulting Group, a well-respected, woman-owned small business in Washington, D.C. seeks highly qualified individuals to serve as IT Strategic Sourcing (Software Analytics) SME in support of FDIC.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct focused analysis comparing software deployments to licenses and maintenance owned to eliminate unnecessary spend, identify opportunities to improve license efficiency and drive the uninstallation of unused/under-utilized software.
  •  Optimize software procurements based on actual usage or approved use cases, feature requirements, environment, and licensing rules to reduce total ownership costs.
  • Provide assistance with software compliance audits and audit-proofing.
  • Identify and drive the removal of legacy software and redundant technologies while moving to the cloud to reduce support and other costs.
  • Provide direct support to the execution of recommended software rationalization strategies including support with negotiation, achieving commercial best pricing and pricing analysis.
  • Develop detailed spending profile for IT cost categories and sub-categories and identify specific cost drivers across software, applications and software services category portfolios.
  • Prioritize rationalization opportunities calling out specific cost drivers and providing specific courses of engagement in order for FDIC to apply leverage to reduce spending
  • Provide software discovery guidance and ServiceNow SAM recommendations for non-discoverable and nonstandard software metrics.
  • Perform market research to assist with requirements definition and strategic sourcing.
