IT Director – Governance
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for an IT Director – Governance for JBS that reports onsite to the corporate office in Greeley, Colorado.
The IT Director position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including delivering assigned IT projects on time, working with the business to improve efficiencies, lead the company's efforts to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other relevant regulations, managing internal controls, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with internal and external auditors and leading a team of managers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the company's SOX compliance program, including the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls in IT.
- Develop and maintain SOX compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct annual SOX risk assessments and scoping activities.
- Identify and assess control deficiencies, develop remediation plans, and ensure that internal controls are operating effectively.
- Monitor and track the status of SOX compliance activities in IT, and communicate SOX compliance status to senior management and external auditors.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT internal controls, and work with process owners to identify, document, and test key controls.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program that addresses all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular compliance training for IT employees.
- Monitor and track compliance activities, identify and assess compliance risks, and develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, and monitor and track compliance risks.
- Work closely with senior management, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with SOX regulations and other legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal audit to support their work, and provide guidance and support to business units on compliance matters.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance compliance efforts.
- Stay abreast of changes in SOX regulations and other relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust SAP security strategy aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for SAP systems and data.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX), and internal IT policies.
- Oversee SAP security risk management activities, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
- Design and implement SAP security controls, including user access controls, role-based access control (RBAC), and data encryption.
- Monitor and maintain the security of SAP systems and data, including identifying and addressing vulnerabilities.
- Conduct security assessments and audits to identify weaknesses and ensure compliance.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of SAP security professionals, and provide technical guidance and expertise to the team and other stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and best practices within the organization.
- Collaborate with other IT teams, business units, and external stakeholders on security matters.
- Communicate security risks and vulnerabilities to management and other stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Participate in SAP project planning and implementation to ensure security is considered from the outset.
- Drive continuous improvement in SAP security practices and technologies.
- Manage budgets and resources for SAP security activities.
- Deliver assigned IT projects on time.
- Develop and implement project management strategies and methodologies that align with organizational goals.
- Establish project management standards, processes, and tools.
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to project managers and teams.
- Oversee and coordinate the resources needed for projects with a defined scope, start, and completion point.
- Manage the project budget, resources, risks, and issues.
- Ensure that the projects meet the quality standards and expectations of the stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the business to improve efficiencies and enhance team efficiencies.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in IT.
- Strong knowledge of IT processes, SDLC and project management methodology
- Prior experience with meat/CPG and public companies strongly preferred
- Experience with SOX and Compliance processes
- Ability to learn in a hands-on environment
- Basic understanding of the company operations
- Technical aptitude with successful project management experience preferred
- Preferred experience with SOX and Compliance processes
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $130,000-$150,000;
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
