Financial Manager

 

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Financial Manager to join our Fed Beef team at our Corporate office in Greeley, Colorado. The focus of this role is the operational side of the business unit accounting function. This includes working with plant and corporate accounting and purchasing teams and business leadership to provide actionable information, increased efficiency and process improvements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in establishing and monitoring financial and purchasing processes at the plants
  • Provide leadership in establishing and monitoring compliance with internal accounting controls (SOX compliance)
  • Assist in preparation and reporting of annual budget
  • Focus on improved processes, efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with management to provide reporting and analytics
  • Other analysis or financial/accounting duties or projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 5-10 years in an accounting or analytical role
  • Strong organizational skills and acute attention to details
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as a member or a leader of a team
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel required
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and ask questions as needed
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Passion for the industry and accounting
  • Experience with Plant P&L Statements is beneficial
  • Experience in SAP, Business Objects, and other systems is helpful
  • Plant Operational accounting, cattle or meat experience desired
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $101,000-$120,000; and
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
