AI Solutions Architect

 

The Pilgrim’s Digital Transformation team is seeking an AI Solutions Architect who will Lead projects in the AI space and improve technical literacy across all business units. This role will be based at our Corporate Office in Greeley, CO.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT to Identify the best technical solution to tackle existing business problems.
  • Operationalize business needs into quantifiable project phases, features, and solution requirements: Translate ideas into deliverables
  • Establish and teach best practices to project stakeholders (agile, version control, database normalization, ACID compliance)
  • Collaborate with external vendors to implement advanced machine learning solutions for complex and high-RoI opportunities.
  • Oversee specifications to which projects are defined, managed, and delivered
  • Construct and Lead project teams, closing the gap of understanding between Business and Technical SMEs
  • Support the Project Management Office, helping to prioritize projects and follow up on project timelines
  • Explore existing data frameworks for opportunities to implement both supervised and unsupervised machine learning
  • Synthesize industry knowledge with burgeoning technologies to build greater understanding of long-term business trajectory
  • Advocate for the versatility and flexibility of AI solutions, building trust for intelligent systems throughout the company
  • Apply lateral thinking skills and creative problem solving within the lens of pragmatism and a solid understanding of logistical restrictions
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Applied mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics or related fields.
  • Solid leadership skills, with experience guiding projects from inception to completion
  • Familiarity with SQL, VBA, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience coding in Python, with proficiency in: Keras, Tensorflow, SK-learn, Theano
  • Technical skills to build machine learning models (clustering, classification, regression) and deep learning frameworks (CNN, GNN, GBM, Random Forests, SOM), with creative and effective methodologies for feature selection and feature engineering
  • Understanding of version control (Git), DRY coding practices, ACID, and both OO and functional paradigms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience translating technical minutae to a non-technical audience
  • Experience in Agricultural/meat/animal industries and familiarity with meat processing
  • 1+ years experience as a business analyst or applied data scientist
  • 3+ years of project management and/or AI development skills preferred
  • Experience using SAP, SAP Analysis for Office, and knowledge of SAP BI HANA is a plus
  • Dashboarding experience, particularly with Qlik products, preferred
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

 

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $90,000 -$145,000
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;

This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account various factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiencies for the role.
