IT Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant for JBS that reports onsite at the Corporate Office in Greeley, Colorado.

The focus of this role is supporting our team with sound accounting principles to budget, plan for capital projects, and process payments. The position is responsible for driving processes to ensure timeliness in end to end accounting processes for the team and work with business units on related expenses.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in month end closing process.
• Manage capital spending processes to ensure timely closing of assets and spending within budgets. Collaborate with plant locations on compliance with capital policies.
• Work with business units to create IT capital expenditures in our current software
• Develop, prepare and analyze capital expenditure reporting. Timely distribution of capital spending reports.
• Manage corporate A/P processes to ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Develop and improve processes surrounding existing systems
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Proficient computer knowledge, with emphasis in Excel or spreadsheet functionality
• Excellent time management skills
• SAP experience a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with various levels of management (plant personnel, corporate, executive management, treasury, internal audit, etc.)
• Quick learner and the ability to complete responsibilities independently with proper training
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
• Base salary range of $55,000-$65,000; and
• Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
