Position Title: Terminal Manager
Department: Operations
Location: Cactus, TX
Reports to: Transportation Operations Manager
Position Overview: The Terminal Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of operations for regional-based fleets. This role includes ensuring optimal performance, safety, compliance and efficiency of the terminal’s daily functions. The Terminal Manager will lead a team and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:
- Oversee all terminal activities and ensure effective management of the fleet operations, including scheduling, dispatch, and route optimization.
- Monitor and maintain proper functioning of all units and ensure compliance with quality control standards and temperature requirements,
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of terminal operations.
- Fleet Management & Maintenance:
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules and ensure timely service and repairs of trucks and trailers.
- Monitor fuel and energy consumption.
- Human Resources Support:
- Assist with HR-related initiatives including timely and accurate submission of driver pay.
- Assist in the handling of disciplinary actions.
- Facilitate clear communication with drivers regarding company policy, safety protocols, and operational updates.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, train, and supervise terminal staff including drivers.
- Set clear expectations, evaluate performance, and provide continuous coaching and development opportunities.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork and accountability within the terminal.
- Customer Relations & Service Quality:
- Ensure timely and safe delivery to customers, meeting or exceeding service level agreements.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns related to delivery or quality of products.
- Collaborate with the sales team to communicate service capabilities and customer expectations.
- Regulatory Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including food safety, DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA guidelines.
- Keep up to date with changes in regulations and implement necessary operational changes.
- Budget & Financial Management:
- Manage terminal budget, control expenses, and optimize cost efficiency.
- Analyse financial data to monitor the terminals financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve operational and financial goals.
- Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving:
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges promptly to maintain smooth workflow.
- New Business Development:
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth by developing and implementing strategies to expand the company’s transportation services.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to drive business expansion.
- Collaborate with senior management and sales team to align business development efforts with operational capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management or terminal operations, with a focus on refrigerated transportation.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and logistics.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in fleet management software (TMW/TMT preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Base salary range of $75,000 to $85,000; and
- This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
