Principle Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a daily priority shipping schedule that coordinates available inventory and transportation; load dates that meet customer requirements and plant efficiency as well as daily load out goals.
  • Work with plant schedulers, shipping, and traffic to pull work ahead as needed
  • Work closely with shipping to maintain the proper balance between shipping areas within the plant (carousels and racks) and maintain overall total inventory targets
  • Identify orders/loads that typically drag meat across production weeks that we can work with the sales team to pull ahead and ship early
  • Identify and call out trends on orders/loads that we have product available but orders don’t ship until later in the week. Work with sales to permanently move those orders into early work ship.

Requirements:

Education:  B.S. is Animal Science or related field

Experience:

  • Beef Plant experience in shipping or scheduling preferred
  • Detail oriented and strong multi-tasking skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Relationships

Internal: Works closely with shipping, corporate transportation, plant traffic, scheduling and sales

 The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time off: sick leave, vacation and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): eligible after the 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
  • Base salary range of $50,925 - $62,685
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
