Experience:
- Degree in Environmental Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and/or experience with Packed-Bed Scrubbers.
- Previous supervisory experience or program.
- State wastewater operator license(s) or ability to obtain license within 8 months of hiring.
Responsibilities:
- Reports to Environmental Manager.
- Lead person for energy and water conservation programs.
- Implementation and management of Energy Management System (EnMS).
- Supervision of environmental technician, cross-functional groups and facility sustainability programs.
- Ensure compliant operation of rendering and other facility air treatment systems.
- Environmental training responsibility for the facility.
- Storm Water Pollution Prevention Team Leader.
- Required facility environmental inspections.
- Waste Management – recycling, solid waste, biosolids, used oil, universal waste and hazardous waste.
- Operation of Powered Industrial Trucks (forklift, pallet Jack, Loader, etc.) as needed. Company will train.
- Environmental reporting.
- Participation in company safety programs and expectations.
- Participation in company food safety programs and expectations.
- Availability after-hours and weekends: 24-hour/5-6 day operation.
