MAINTENANCE HOURLY - ELECTRICAL TECH
Description
Perform tasks involved with constructing, maintaining, improving and all other work related to the structures and components involved with the Dalhart Live Pork Operation. Good attention to ensure accuracy and quality. Performs tasks associated with this department while meeting productivity, quality, safety, behavioral and attendance expectations.
Must be able to tolerate an environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, work around moving equipment, and work around live animals.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Be familiar with current edition of National Electrical Code.
- Install electrical equipment in a neat and workman like manner
- Install and program ventilation controllers.
- Install and program alarm systems.
- Ability to understand and follow ladder diagrams.
- Ability to understand and follow wiring schematics.
- Must be able to trouble shoot and diagnose electrical problems when other team members fail to do so.
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, twist and reach during course of job.
- Knowledge of arc flash PPE and proper use of.
- Willingness to complete 20 hours of continuing education a year.
Travel: 30-mile radius
Required Qualifications:
• Strong communication and listening skills
• 2 years previous farm maintenance or electrical experience. • Demonstrates ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
- Must hold current Texas electrical apprentice license.
- Must have completed high school or equivalent.
- Must have valid drivers license
Relationships/Contacts:
- Interact with fellow Maintenance employees to perform daily tasks
- Interaction with other teams such as LRG, EIG, farm employees and management
