Job Title: 3rd Shift Yards Supervisor

Location: Omaha

Reporting to: Harvest Floor General Foreman

Essential Job Functions:

• Work closely with USDA personnel during ante-mortem inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Become certified to stun animals in the pen area and trucks.
• Ensure all 3rd Shift employees are properly trained, certified, and consistently follow JBS policies and procedures, and following all animal handling SOPs including pen cleaning, livestock unloading, and humane stunning practices.
• Verification that all stunners and ammunition stored properly and the correct PM’s have occurred on the stun guns.
• Perform daily safety walks, correcting any non-compliance issues.
• Documentation of all issues and verification of repair/fixes.
• Keep track of employee hours, schedules, and duties
• Any other duties needed or assigned.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience handling live stock
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required
• 3-5 years of experience working in beef slaughter operations

Skills/Abilities Required:

• Exhibit strong problem solving and leadership qualities
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Proficiency in multiple languages preferred but not required
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• General computer proficiencies
• Main schedule Sun-Thurs 7:30pm-5:30am but must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
