SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Grain Merchandising (Summer 2026)
JBS Live Pork is seeking a highly motivated and analytical summer
intern to join our Grain Merchandising team. This internship provides a
unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commodity
procurement, market analysis, and supply chain operations within one
of the largest pork production systems in the U.S. The intern will support
the team in sourcing and managing feed ingredients critical to our live
pork operations. This is a paid internship, and housing is provided while
enrolled in the program.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the procurement of grain and feed ingredients for JBS Live
Pork operations. - Monitor commodity markets, futures, and basis trends to support
merchandising strategies. - Analyze supply and demand fundamentals and assist in developing
market outlooks. - Support logistics coordination for inbound grain shipments to feed mills
and production sites. - Help maintain vendor relationships and assist with contract
management and documentation. - Participate in cross-functional meetings with nutrition, production, and
logistics teams. - Complete a summer project focused on improving a process or
analyzing a market opportunity, with a final presentation to leadership.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics,
Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field. - Strong interest in commodity markets, agriculture, and livestock
production. - Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with commodity trading
platforms is a plus. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced
environment. - Prior experience in agriculture or grain handling is beneficial but not
required.
