FABRICATION PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Principle Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise hourly employees
- Resposible for the motivation and safety of those employees under their supervision
- Prepares pre-operational paperwork
- Ensures area is properly staffed/crewed to meet operational needs
- Coach and develop employees to obtain results
- Responsible for meeting volume goals, reducing claims, maximizing yields, reducing cost, and employee retention
- Maintains good working relationships with the Union, USDA, and maintenance employees.
- Manages job changes/rotations
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate in English
- Bi-lingual preferred but not required
- 1 - 2 years proven beef processing supervisory experience; preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to work 50+ hours
- People management skills
Working Conditions:
- Working in cold temperature
- Frequent exposure to knives, hot water and production machinery.
- Physical demands of this position may include a great deal of walking and stair climbing.
- Environment consists of slick floors and loud noise.
- Employee will typically work 50-55 hours per week M-F with some Saturday work if necessary.
