DESCRIPTION:

Lead and drive the facility’s tech shop and electrical maintenance strategy with a focus on Proactive Maintenance.   

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to assess critical equipment, RCA, continuous improvement and development of the proactive maintenance   
  • Oversee that all computers and interface hardware (scales, scanners, etc.) are functioning properly including site telecommunications systems.
  • Spare parts analysis and asset record development.   
  • Ensuring the pro-active day-to-day safe and efficient maintenance, upkeep and repair of the facility by managing the day to day maintenance
  • Ensure workflow processes are followed; ensuring maximization of maintenancelabor and resources.
  • Oversee failure maintenanceand follow up work: Support the general processes and policies laid down by the maintenance department as well as the company policies.
  • Lead the proactive maintenanceprogram and drive toward the standards required by the company.
  • Manage work quality.  Ensure CMMS system is utilized to the full.
  • Develop and implement the proactive maintenanceprogram and spare part management to ensure maximum efficiencies.
  • Manage department safety activities and execution of successful safety management program.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to assist with development of maintenance
  • Weekly review of expenses and KPI’s, provide solutions for deviations from targets, monitor departmental budgets, hold self and others accountable for achieving goals and targets.

Qualifications

Minimum of a Michigan Journeyman Electrical License

 5 -7year relevant experience in the meat maintenance

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficient in the use of CMMS (SAP preferred).
  • PLC knowledge a plus.
  • Must speak, read and write English.
  • Good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of predictive maintenance
  • Demonstrate leadership skills.
