Production Hourly

Position Summary:

The Production Hourly Team Member is responsible for processing poultry products in accordance with USDA regulations, Pilgrim's quality standards, food safety requirements, and animal welfare guidelines. This position performs a variety of production-related duties, including cutting, trimming, packaging, inspecting, and handling poultry products while maintaining a safe, efficient, and clean work environment. Team members are expected to uphold Pilgrim's commitment that Safety Is A Condition and contribute to meeting production and quality goals.

Essential duties:

• Process poultry products using tools, manual labor, and equipment according to USDA and Pilgrim's standards.
• Perform product handling tasks such as cutting, trimming, packaging, inspecting, and sorting products.
• Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment operations and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with sanitation requirements.
• Follow all safety, food safety, biosecurity, and animal welfare policies and procedures.
• Support team members by sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
• Perform duties in various areas of production as needed to support business operations.
• Meet established production, quality, and safety objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Poultry Experience

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, up to 8-11 hours per shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to work in a cold environment with temperatures averaging approximately 40°F.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as needed.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a poultry processing and food-manufacturing environment. Team members may be exposed to cold temperatures, moisture, moving machinery, production equipment, noise, and sanitation chemicals. The position requires compliance with all company safety, food safety, biosecurity, and animal welfare standards while working in close proximity to other team members.
