Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process product according to operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations
- Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns
- Clean and organized work area
- Assist others with the skills and knowledge gained from the position
- Observes all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, co-workers, and leadership teams
- Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization
- Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies
- Other duties as directed
BASIC SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to climb stairs, ladders and reach remote areas of equipment
- Able to read and write (in English) data reports and log sheets regarding critical control points for production, quality and safety
- Able to drive and operate a Bobcat/Uni-loader and Forklift
- Ability to work in an uncontrolled temperature environment
- Able to deal with strong smells
- Have the ability to make reasonable decisions pertaining to safety and quality attributes based on operational logs and reports
- Have a safety conscious attitude towards your work and make use of all Personal Protective Equipment that is or may be required by the job
- Must be able to work efficiently with minimum supervision
- Strong team player
Salary/Grade: $18 - $20/hr + $2 attendance bonus
