JOB SUMMARY: 

  

This position will plan and coordinate all maintenance activities. The Maintenance Planning and Purchasing Supervisor will be a liaison between maintenance, contractors, and operations to ensure all work activities are planned, estimated, and scheduled. This position will also provide leadership and guidance on effective operation of the CMMS and ERP systems.  

  

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 

  

  1. Plans daily maintenance duties
    1. Analyzes and investigates work requests and preventative maintenance requirements and prioritizes creates the appropriate work orders.
    2. Lists all materials and any special tools or equipment needed to perform the work
    3. Estimates the cost of each work order in terms of direct labor, materials required and total cost.
    4. Manages work order backlog, PM, PdM and work order records.
    5. Manages major repair and capital expenditure requests and documentation.
  2. Plans for impending maintenance needs and runs the Preventative Maintenance program
    1. Oversees plant preventative maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) systems.
    2. Plans all components and resources for projects and major repairs as directed.
    3. Identifies the scope and performs the analysis to determine overall scheduling of maintenance activities, by assigning priorities and considering the available maintenance windows and resources.
    4. Tracks and reports on appropriate metrics to monitor and improve maintenance performance and plant reliability.
  3. Manages and replenishes parts inventory
    1. Responsible for cycle counting process and inventory count accuracy to maintain correct inventory levels.
    2. Manages the ordering, receiving, and stocking of maintenance parts, and consumables for process equipment and facilities.
    3. Ensures an adequate inventory of maintenance consumable supplies are in inventory.
    4. Monitor and control all Plant Engineering managed recyclables: batteries, bulbs, cutting torch tanks, electronics, and all other controlled material.
    5. Review parts and service proposals to ensure cost-effective value in all purchases and make recommendations to management.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  

  • High School Diploma
  • 3 years management experience
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English Language
  • Strong computer skills - maintenance and inventory software
  • Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays if needed
  • Maintenance background with ability to complete root cause analysis failure reports with cooperation of department teams
  • Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work in cooperation with others
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization, from the floor to the executive leadership team
  • Strong Problem-Solving skills

VISUAL ABILITIES: 

  

Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery. 

  

PHYSICAL STRENGTH: 

  

Must be able to frequently lift light to heavy objects throughout the day.  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.  Ability to stand 8-12 hours per day on a cold, wet concrete floor.

Typical office and plant environment, with no hazardous or significantly unpleasant working conditions.

  • Base salary range of $64,612 - $87,226
