JBS Omaha’s Human Resources team is looking for a dependable, dedicated, and results-oriented individual eager to grow their career. The role involves various HR tasks, such as employee relations, employment, orientation, training, data entry, employee development, and more.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent customer service skills, including good oral and written communication.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to calmly and effectively handle stressful situations.
- Results-oriented. Excellent problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills is required, especially with SAP, Kronos, and Jobvite, along with MS Office programs like Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Bilingual skills highly preferred. (English/Spanish)
- High School degree preferred but not required, some college preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, primarily 8 am – 4:30 pm, may include weekends
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and review all applications in JobVite.
- Manage all onboarding documentation and keep accurate employee records files.
- Responsible for reviewing employment documents to ensure authenticity, validity, and proper completion of Form I-9 using an I-9 Management System.
- Conduct background checks on new employees and ensure all employment documents are received promptly.
- Responsible for maintaining various reports tracking open jobs, EAD expiry, employee qualifications, new hires, and more.
- Face-to-face customer service skills when assisting production employees with employee benefits and or any work-related questions (primarily in Spanish and English).
- Keep detailed records to stay compliant with state and federal laws.
- Enter and maintain employee information in HR systems.
- professionally answer phones, take messages, and direct calls appropriately.
- Manages internal and external company communications related to employment needs.
- Responsible for the internal newsletter.
- Assist HR staff with various clerical/administrative duties as needed, including filing as required.
- Crosstrain on ALL HR functions.
- Performs all other duties assigned by Human Resources Manager.
