Senior Sales Account Representative
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are seeking a Senior Sales Account Representative to join our International Sales team at our Greeley, CO headquarters. This role is responsible for driving sales growth and managing key customer relationships within the Canadian market, with a primary focus on selling U.S. beef products to distributors, retailers, foodservice operators, processors, and other protein customers throughout Canada. The ideal candidate will leverage market intelligence, customer insights, and industry relationships to identify growth opportunities, expand market share, and maximize profitability while serving as a trusted business partner to Canadian customers. This position requires a strong understanding of the North American beef industry, international trade dynamics, and cross-border business practices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts throughout Canada while identifying and developing new business opportunities within the Canadian protein market.
- Develop and execute account strategies to increase sales volume, profitability, and market penetration of U.S. beef products.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Canadian customers, building strong relationships with key decision-makers across purchasing, merchandising, category management, and executive teams.
- Utilize product, market, and industry knowledge to recommend customized programs, product offerings, and value-added solutions that meet customer objectives.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and develop growth plans.
- Monitor Canadian market trends, competitive activity, consumer demand, currency fluctuations, and industry developments to identify sales opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with customers on forecasting, inventory management, promotional planning, and merchandising initiatives to drive sales growth.
- Partner closely with export, logistics, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless cross-border order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Work with margin management and commercial leadership to develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the marketplace.
- Provide pricing quotes, negotiate programs, and manage customer-specific pricing structures based on market conditions and business objectives.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Canadian import requirements, customer specifications, and industry regulations impacting the sale of U.S. beef products.
- Collaborate with field sales and business development teams to identify and convert new business opportunities while moving customers up the value chain.
- Contact assigned accounts daily to discuss product availability, market conditions, pricing trends, and customer needs.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer organizational structures, business strategies, and growth initiatives to identify long-term partnership opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and market visits throughout Canada.
- Maintain awareness of all departmental accounts and market activity to support team collaboration and overall business success.
- Prepare sales forecasts, market analyses, customer presentations, and performance reports for leadership.

Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree preferred with a major in one of the following: Agri Business, Meat Science, Business, Marketing, Ag Econ or Animal Science
- Minimum 5 years or more previous meat sales experience or comparable field
- Understanding of Canadian retail, foodservice, and distribution channels preferred.
- Knowledge of international sales, export processes, and cross-border business operations is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and business development skills.
- Excellent phone and strong presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Must be willing to travel around 25-30%.
- Microsoft Office applications a must.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $140,000-$150,000;
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and

The posted salary range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the compensation that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, tenure, internal equity, market data, and may vary accordingly.
