Director of Operations Support - Maintenance

 

The Director of Operations Support will support all Pilgrims with maintenance management pillar training, budgeting training, forecasting training, data collection, data visualization using SAP, BI, SCADA, training documents, etc.  They will assist in current maintenance processes and add support to all plant maintenance teams.  They are responsible for identifying key projects to capture additional value to the business unit and help calculate paybacks. They will help automate the data collection and control of plant equipment and systems. They will be vital in developing long term maintenance plans and assist maintenance management improve maintenance operations and machine availability.  They will be a vital part of improving our current maintenance programs by identifying gaps, developing action plans and facilitating the plans with maintenance directors, engineering, quality, and plant managers

Responsibilities:

  • Help lead the safety culture and company values for the Pilgrims facilities.
  • Help ensure compliance of all company policies and all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support management at all Pilgrims facilities.
  • Train maintenance management to create budgets, forecasting and metrics.
  • Supervise engagement of Maintenance Pillar assessments.
  • Develop plans to ensure that plants are meeting maintenance initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement maintenance action.
  • Oversee recommended improvements to maintenance processes, inventory control and reduction, data collection, and data visualization.
  • In concert with Managers of Maintenance and Engineering, establish accountabilities and goals for PC&R team.
  • Prepare and submit maintenance reports to maintain or improve efficiency and effectiveness of plant maintenance teams.
  • Develop plans and means to move maintenance from reactive, to preventative, and on to predictive methods.
  • Develop, train, and improve RCA documentation, processes, data analysis, compliance levels, and quality of information.
  • Develop and motivate team members to maintain a high performing team that supports maintenance teams across Pilgrims.

 

Additional Requirements:

 

  • Experience in maintenance planning and control strongly preferred
  • Proven experience managing and motivating others for maximum performance
  • Team player with leadership skills
  • Good work ethic
  • Excellent organizational, math and statistical skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Understand and comply with Company policy and procedures
  • Ability to handle conflict; interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office; Microsoft Teams, SQL, Qlik Sense, Ignition
  • Knowledge and technical skills in a variety of maintenance management and planning jobs
  • Strong analytical skills & problem solving
  • Experience with developing RCAs and training others on how to develop RCAs.

 

Education:   Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
