RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the primary point of contact for the Maintenance Department during the supervisor's absence.
Provide technical leadership and hands-on support to maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.
Coordinate daily maintenance priorities to ensure timely completion of corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
Lead shift pass-down communication by documenting and communicating equipment status, ongoing repairs, and outstanding work to the incoming shift.
Mentor, coach, and train maintenance technicians to standardize troubleshooting techniques, repair methods, and maintenance best practices.
Identify training opportunities and support the development of team members to improve technical skills and overall performance.
Assist in assigning work based on production priorities, equipment criticality, and technician skill sets.
Support the Maintenance Supervisor in coordinating daily maintenance operations and following up on assigned tasks.
Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Inspect completed maintenance work to verify quality, workmanship, and equipment reliability.
Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment performance, maintenance processes, and overall operational efficiency.
Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Communicate effectively with production, quality, sanitation, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities.
Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects as required.
Lead by example by fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Good interpersonal relations; ability to handle conflict.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead a group and be a part of the group
Manage individual employee objectives as well as team performance and building a team approach to problem solving
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must demonstrate and be able to pass all required safety courses provided by JBS
Must be self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of completing all work assignments with minimal supervision
Must be able to motivate, train, and teach employees their job to JBS standards
Must be willing to work with line supervisors to make placement decisions and help with make sheet
Must have knowledge of all jobs on designated line or have the ability to learn them
Must be confident in coaching and counseling employees about qualification issues (not discipline)
Strong record of safety
Attendance will be examined, less than 3 points preferred
Track record of positive Work Performance
