Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to: Run knocking gun and be qualified in proper humane handling; needs to make sure that the proper procedures are followed at all times.  Must be able to identify if an animal has any sensibility immediately following knocking.

Requirements: 

• Will need to attend monthly training sessions and meet minimum expectations of the training sessions.
• Have the knowledge of maintaining the knocking gun
• Audit the knocking gun
• Accuracy in operating the Head Restraining
• Accuracy in the knocking position
• Accuracy on the amount of cattle coming into the knocking box
• Accuracy when opening the knocking box gate to the shacklers
• When the cattle are knocked, the Knocker needs to keep an eye on the stunned animal for sensibility; if signs of sensibility are shown, the employee Touch of the Eye needs to be notified right away. 
• The knocker needs to sound the buzzer to alert maintenance if the landing hoist is malfunctioning or jammed. 
• Must be able to work in an extremely hot environment in an enclosed space surrounded by heavy working machinery
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work extended hours and some Saturdays
