Part-time Custodian

SUMMARY

We are looking for a custodian to take care of our building and carry out cleaning duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition. The custodian is responsible for maintaining the break room keep it clean. The bathrooms in the front office are to be cleaned. The offices and conference rooms are to be cleaned. There are offices that are cleaned on a daily basis. The floors are to be vacuumed, swept and mopped. The trash cans are also emptied daily.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, empty trash etc.)
2. Perform and document routine inspection activities
3. Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
4. Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs 
5. Cooperate with the rest of the staff
6. Follow all health and safety regulations
7. Must wipe walls when needed.
8. Must dust daily.
9. Must clean windows and glass doors.
10. Other duties may be assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

1. Requires some walking.
2. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
3. Must be able to mop, vacuum, sweep, and clean.
