Here in Dalhart, TX, JBS Live Pork has a large sow production facility working daily to produce quality livestock. This HR Coordinator position will work with the HR Manager and the Pre-Employment Manager to ensure HR processes and services are delivered with excellence and enthusiasm.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Human Resources:

  • Assists HR Manager and Pre-Employment Manager as needed
  • Provide a high level of customer service by assisting hourly employees with various requests and resolving in a timely manner
  • Handles general office procedures including handling phone calls, filing, and misc
  • Enter and maintain confidential employee records and information into HRIS/KRONOS daily/weekly
  • Keep employee files and benefit records up to date
  • Must possess a high level of confidentiality and trustworthiness
  • Assists employees with benefit needs to include: new hire, QLE, and annual open enrollment
  • Monthly benefit enrollment reports – follow up with employees and managers
  • Assist in coordinating employee engagement /community events/programs
  • Assist with onboarding processes for new employees: housing, transportation, orientation, etc.
  • Assist with retention/recruiting goals and initiatives: New Hire follow up, job fairs, etc.
  • Track, report, and administer attendance issues/events to be compliant with company Attendance Policy timely
  • Presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable in front of small and large audiences
  • Ability to translate and write documents, presentations, procedures, etc in Spanish
  • Support the communication and execution of HR programs, policies, processes and initiatives
  • Support Sow Production/HR team goals and focus
  • Weekend, evening, and holiday work required as needed
  • Other duties as needed or required

 

Production:

  • Administer, implement, and verify 1st week New Hire in-barn procedures and paperwork
  • Assist Training Manager as needed with various training platforms and procedures: data entry, tracking, reporting, etc.
  • In-barn visits as needed/required
  • Other duties as needed or required
  • Weekend, evening, and holiday work required as needed
  • Ability to walk for extended period of time

 

Requirements:

  • Human Resources knowledge and background
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills - including phone etiquette
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, 10-key and knowledge of office equipment
  • High organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective people skills
  • High professional standards; can be trusted to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be: Self-Starter/Problem Solver/Team Player
  • High School Diploma required
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Adhere to Biosecurity policy and procedures
  • Reliable transportation

Preferred:

  • Sow Production knowledge/experience
  • Associates Degree or higher education
