Capital Planning Analyst

 

SUMMARY

The objective of this position is to assist the Engineering Team in support of transactional demands associated with capital procurement.  This person will work collaboratively across several functional groups to help drive activities associated with contract execution through the payment of invoices in a timely and efficient manner.  These purchases would be associated with professional service, engineering, construction, IT, maintenance and corporate service agreements as well as equipment acquisition.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administration and maintenance of a high volume of on-going contracts
  • Make decisions exercising independent judgment requiring immediate solutions.
  • Clarifies contract terms, conditions and intent for all contractual parties as well as our internal customers
  • Provide updates to the engineering team on progress / status of these payments
  • Ensure Pilgrim’s Pride, contractors and subcontractors comply with all contractual terms and conditions.
  • Work with local plant procurement and A/P to ensure downpayments, final payments, and intermediate payments are paid in accordance to the contractual agreements.
  • Actively seek joint procurement initiatives to improve efficiency, effectiveness and service quality while offering potential for recurring financial benefits.
  • Participate in requirements planning, strategic procurement planning and development and coordinating with material planners and internal customers on material needs to meet production schedules in order to reduce no-stocks, material costs and overall maintenance program completion times.
  • Perform pro-active analysis in support of Pilgrim’s Pride Project Management Initiatives to identify capital spend progress, that projects remain on budget, and capital spending / planning is prioritized.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Self-starter / directed, high motivated worker
  • Ability to communicate across broad groups within Pilgrim’s Pride
  • Knowledge and skill in various operating systems and programs – SAP, MS Excel, cloud-based project management systems
  • Prior experience in procurement – purchasing, A/P, contract management
  • High School diploma. Higher education (preferred)
