Maintenance Mechanic

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems.
• Perform emergencies and unscheduled repairs during production operations.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and preventive maintenance activities during equipment downtime.
• Perform basic machinist duties as required.
• Utilize mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, blueprints, and work orders.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions; replace or repair defective components; test equipment; and make necessary adjustments.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance functions.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and material-handling equipment.
• Identify faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual operating conditions and report findings to appropriate supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

Education:  High School Diploma or GED required •Technical school certification or vocational training preferred.

Experience: Previous industrial maintenance experience preferred.  •Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.

Skills:

• Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance tasks.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with assistance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot, cold, wet, and noisy environments.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and other flexible schedules as needed.
