Qualifications:

Previous experience with safety and health issues. Extensive experience may substitute for Bachelor’s Degree.

• Knowledge in the application of government regulations in regard to general, chemical and explosives safety. Able to communicate with local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.

Responsibilities:

• Sequence of Basic Job Steps

  1. Ensure all workers have proper tools, safety equipment  required at the beginning of

  the shift.

  2. Walk areas several times ensuring all safety policies and procedures are adhered to.

  3. Industrial Hygiene Readings.

  4. Conduct Safety Rep & New hire meetings Weekly.

  5. Provide Initial & Annual Safety Training as needed.

  6. Complete all appendices for Safety Programs as required.

  7. Conduct Investigations for Safety Violations.

  8. Conduct Incident Investigations and follow up on SIRs

  9. Emergency Response

  10.  Conduct audits with contractors.
