Demand Forecasting Manager

 

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Demand Forecasting Manager to join our Pilgrim’s team here at our Corporate Headquarters in Greeley, CO! This person will generate forecasts for our wide range of customers and internal teams, cultivate data insights for S&OP cycle meetings and lead a planning team in a corporate setting.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create, plan and maintain monthly multiple year sales forecast for strategic discussions based on interaction with product category owners,
  • Weekly routine to include focus on statistical seasonal demand combined with trade and brand promotional activity increases & decreases
  • Maintain weekly forecast accuracy reporting, sharing on regular cadence with cross-functional teams,
  • Drive consensus between teams and respective leaders through meetings with stakeholders
  • Continuously improve forecast accuracy through creative techniques. Examples would include analyzing history, correlating history to promos, correlating history to market data and tying those correlations to market forecasts, etc.
  • Present supply and demand recommendations to leadership, drive timely decisions, and ensure clear and concise communication to all stakeholders in the supply chain, based on demand planning scenarios, business forecasts, and product transitions
  • Ensure new items are included in forecasts
  • Cultivate data and glean insights to administer monthly S&OP cycle meetings, by formatting slide decks and engaging owners for discussion involvement/content.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Finance, or another quantitative field
  • 3-5 years of experience in forecasting, S&OP management, or supply chain planning strongly preferred.
  • Must have excellent Excel skills
  • Experience with forecasting in SAP (APO) strongly preferred
  • Experience with Python, R, or other large data regression analysis software is a plus
  • Experience in the meat industry is a plus but not required
  • Analytically minded and good with numbers
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Self-starter who can think ahead on problems and proactively address them
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $80,000-$90,000; and
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
