CATTLE LOGISTICS SCHEDULER
Description
General Description: Job responsibilities: · Create cattle schedules to match plants harvest production to minimize cattle lineups. · Daily communication with producers, cattle buyers, and plant teams to manage cattle flow through pens. · Daily data entry for cattle purchases which is reported to the USDA. · Work closely with plant production leaders to coordinate cattle targets and actuals. · Balance inventory, track cattle performance, and work with fabrication schedulers to help forecast product inventory. · Other duties as assigned

Requirements · Excellent verbal and written communications skills · Two years’ experience in related field preferred (cattle production). · Experience in scheduling and demand planning, production, and/or analytics preferred. · Above average skills in Microsoft Office. · Strong communication, computer and decision making skills. · Detail oriented, team player, leadership skills and strong multi-tasking skills · Able to work with little to no supervision Systems Used: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and AS400 are used on a daily basis. General computer knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to multi-task are required. |
