SANITATION SUPERVISOR 
Overview/ Summary
This position will be responsible for overseeing the Sanitation Department. Which consists of cleaning and sanitizing the plant to maintain conformance to USDA standards within a schedule to ensure maximum operating time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RERSPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees daily operations of the sanitation department.
  • Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production.
  • Arrange to have appropriate records prepared and maintained.
  • Work closely with production supervisors and management.
  • Supervises, train and develop sanitation team members.
  • Develop and follow sanitation procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), USDA and FDA regulations for all sanitation tasks.
  • Set up, stock and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Comply with, understand and enforces all company policies and standards.
  • Inforce and follow all Food Safety and Plant Safety policies, practices and protocols.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous Sanitation experience is required
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing plant or similar; meat experience strongly preferred
  • Current or previous management or supervisor experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and technical skill in sanitation and meat processing jobs and chemicals
  • Managerial skills; good interpersonal relations; ability to handle conflict.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player with leadership skills
  • Experience in leading groups of manufacturing employees, including setting team and individual objectives, managing individual and team performance and building a team approach to problem solving.
  • Outstanding communication skills in order to lead engage and motivate individuals and/or teams.
  • A thorough understanding of manufacturing principles and leadership applications within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
  • Highly organized
  • Spanish/English bilingual desired but not required
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time
  • Slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise
  • Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Safely handling and being exposed to chemicals.
  • May be exposed to stressful situations and schedule changes.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50# unassisted
