Job Title: Feed Mill Technician,  3^rd Shift

Starting Pay: $21.35 plus depending on feed mill experience

Reporting to: Feed Mill Manager

Department/Location of Position: Hedrick IA

JBS Live Pork Hedrick IA is looking for a full-time Feed Mill Production Technician. 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Run multiple pieces of equipment, i.e. grinders, batching scales, mixers, feed cleaners, pellet mills, coolers. Samples and receives ingredients by truck and monitors ingredients inventory levels.
• Manufacture feeds to ensure that they meet specifications and food safety requirements.
• Schedule production based on priorities and customer demands.
• Keep accurate, legible records.
• Perform housekeeping tasks, maintain a clean workplace.

Required Qualifications:

• Local to Hedrick IA area
• Regular and reliable transportation
• Basic math & computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to clean and organize work areas.
• Interpersonal skills for working with other employees.
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• The candidate is required to be able to speak, read, and write in English
• Available to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Prior experience in feed milling or industrial manufacturing work.
• Ideal candidates should have above average skills in teamwork, decision making, taking responsibility, and integrity.

Travel: May travel 1-3 times per year
