Shift:1              

Duties include but not limited to:

The Vehicle Repair Scheduler maintains & coordinates all aspects of vehicle repair & wash scheduling for MOPAC’S fleet, outside customers, & satellite locations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Schedules all repairs and vehicle washes for all company & non-company vehicles for our own mechanics as well as sub-contractors. This involves coordinating efforts with parts personnel, dispatchers, mechanic leads, & outside customers to ensure parts, labor, & equipment availability. Reviews & recommends repair methods, enhancements, and modifications. Maintains and monitors Wash & PM schedules, outside repair grid, vehicle backlog grid, dispatch schedules, vehicle application guide, tune up schedule, state inspections & federal inspections, and safety & ergonomic enhancements. Manages all roadside emergencies in a cost effective manner. Communicates all aspects of repairs from beginning through completion to all parties involved in the repair process. Receives & manages all incoming phone calls to the garage.  Decides if repairs should be performed in-house or out-sourced due to costs, labor or tooling inefficiencies, or warranty possibly covers the repair. Locates, creates, and maintains a list of preferred vendors to be used for emergency & satellite location repairs. Helps with vehicle specifications. Receives quotes from vendors before work is assigned. Reviews repairs performed & price discrepancies when repairs are complete. Tracks all purchase orders for vehicle maintenance performed by subcontractors. Maintains outside customer list including carriers that drop reefer trailers at the Beef Plant. Maintains daily vehicle departure time schedule. Tracks & recovers warranty items. Communicates information between mechanic shifts. Assists in training drivers on proper use of equipment. Ensures DOT compliance on repair priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the automotive repair business.
  • Class A commercial driver’s license a plus
  • Class 7 Pennsylvania state inspection license a plus
  • Must have great communication skills
  • Must read, write & communicate in English
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)

 

Environment:
Uncontrolled temperatures (hot/cold) inside and outside facility.
