ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process product using knives, tools, manual labor, and company‑provided equipment in accordance with FDA regulations and Pilgrim’s quality standards.
- Follow established operating procedures to meet quality and production expectations.
- Monitor equipment operation and promptly report any malfunctions, safety concerns, or unusual conditions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support team members by sharing knowledge and assisting as needed.
- Follow all company policies related to personnel, safety, food safety, and quality.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by communicating and working cooperatively with co‑workers, leadership, and internal partners.
- Identify and respond appropriately to safety risks; consistently model and reinforce safe work habits.
- Participate in process improvement efforts using continuous improvement and problem‑solving methods.
- Adhere to all company guidelines and polices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous food production or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow simple instructions.
- Ability to apply common sense and sound judgment.
- Ability to resolve routine problems involving a few concrete variables.
- Ability to work in cold wet environments (approximately 40°F).
- Ability to stand, use hands, and perform repetitive tasks for 8–12 hours per day.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to work in close proximity to other team members (within 3 feet).
- Strong communication skills.
- Good hand‑eye coordination.
