Director of Foodservice Sales - Pork

DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Foodservice Sales will be responsible for Direct Account Management & Development, to include managing an inside and outside sales team. The primary objective is to increase market share with our key customer accounts and to develop new business with targeted customers.  Develop and further maximize company growth and profitability through product mix, long term customer partnerships and collaboration with other departments.  These departments would include operations, product management, R&D, marketing and other related teams within the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads Sales team in executing sales strategies and priorities of pork business unit
  • Responsible for account development and client relationships
  • Fosters multi-level, meaningful relationships with key accounts
  • Maximize growth with strategic accounts and new accounts
  • Responsible for delivering on KPI’s
  • Formulate and recommend plans, policies, goals and objectives in conjunction with senior management, to increase market share, growth and profitability of company products
  • Able to generate sales and support sales and marketing as customers evolve into a more digital world
  • Develop and foster a team environment for all team members and other internal sales and marketing departments
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with peer group
  • Collaborate with other business units
  • Other duties as assigned

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or the equivalent and a minimum of 10 years’ business experience is preferred
  • Foodservice industry experience preferred
  • Previous management experience and the ability to lead a successful sales team
  • Ability to develop a short term and long term sales plan with a profitable product mix
  • Ability to identify foodservice trends and new product opportunities
  • Excellent phone and strong presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective problem solving and decision making skills
  • Office environment
  • 40+ hours per week
  • Must be able to navigate travel (30% travel required) and manage an inside team
  • Able to facilitate and manage internal and external virtual meetings as needed
  • Microsoft Office applications a must
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate

 

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $130,000- $170,000; and
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;

This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account various factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiencies for the role.
