Warehouse Yard Driver
Description
Position Description: Supporting operations by arranging products on pallets, packing items, and pulling items based on customer orders, staging product for production and staging product to load for outbound shipments.
Essential Functions:
- Performs inspection of vehicle prior to and after operation of, moves trailers in and out of dock as directed by management, couples and uncouples double trailers.
- Chocking trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors, the placement of nose supports for 53 ft trailers when spotted at dock doors
- Orderly maintaining of the yard, inspection of trailers prior to loading.
- Also may perform duties of lift driver, scanner, and other tasks assigned by management
- Understand packing specifications
- Your duties could include pulling, packing, and sorting items for shipping and receiving. (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Issue materials out to respective departments
- Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Pull, pack and ship orders in an accurate manner under FIFO guidelines and SOP.
- Organize stocks and maintain inventories quality standards high for audits. Inspect goods for defects and damages prior shipment or reception.
- Moving pallets by hand, hand truck, electric pallet jack, or manual pallet jack.
- Track inventory in appropriate system.
- Organize space in the warehouse and perform cleaning duties as needed.
- Record selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Ensure proper documentation in all assigned task are performed.
- Completes reports by entering required information.
- Operation of exterior cardboard baler
- Possibility of local pickups or deliveries in bobtail
- Additional duties and tasked to be assigned as needed

- Lift up to 80-90 lbs

Specific Equipment
- Forklift, Powered Industrial Trucks, Pallet Jacks, Yard Hostler
Class A license is recommended but not required.
HOURLY PAY: $23.00
