We are looking for a IT Live Operation Support Specialist for JBS Corporate Live Operations IT Team that reports to the Corporate Office in Greeley, Colorado.

The Live Operations Support team works directly with JBS Corporate Live Operations IT Team to test and implement software changes for all North America JBS locations. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and supporting applications that help JBS facilities reach their operational goals. In this role, you must have a self-motivated interest to quickly learn the core Live Operation applications, business processes and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.


  • 4-year degree in Computer Science or Supply Chain Management or equivalent industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of current JBS Live Operations applications preferred (MTech Systems, Pig Champ, SAP, Feed Mill Control Systems, Feed Formulation Software)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL language
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (including Visio and Project)
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills
  • Proven understanding of data and process workflows
  • Established attention to detail during software testing
  • Understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence methodologies
  • Ability to work as a member of an enterprise team with a positive attitude
  • Experience with SAP iDoc data interfaces, Proxies and Web Services
  • Demonstrated expertise with logical process modeling concepts sufficient to aid in the documentation and development of business and system requirements
  • Strong functional and technical writing skills, and the ability to present information in various forms (textual, graphical, and statistical)
  • Aptitude to learn in a hands-on environment
  • Ability to build credibility and trust among key project stakeholders
  • Domestic/International travel required for project implementations
  • Experience with Pork and/or Poultry Live Operations preferred
  • Technical aptitude with successful project management experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of Live Operations – Feed Mill, Pullets/Breeder/Broiler Farms, Hatcheries and/or Swine Farms preferred
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Test software changes to ensure error-free data capture
  • Work directly with internal development team as required to correct software bugs
  • Document support resolutions for all issues
  • Coordinate project implementations across multiple internal and external departments
  • Train end users to use Live Operation applications
  • Provides limited computer/hardware troubleshooting and technical support as required
  • Produce key project documents including: Gap Analysis, Functional Specifications, Test Plans, Process Diagrams, and Change Management documents
  • Provide project management for small and midsize initiatives
  • Improve technical proficiency through continuing professional development
  • ON-CALL: Provide rotational 24-hour support for critical business processes
  • TRAVEL: Up to 25% travel for project implementations
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $55,000-$68,000; and
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
