POSITION SUMMARY:  Position is responsible for fabricating, installing, maintaining, and repairing all Arcadia Complex equipment. Position requires knowledge and skill in the fields of mechanical maintenance, equipment installation, electrical and fabrication. Position will work at different locations in the Complex if needed to assist with projects and/or maintenance related items.  
  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  
  • Fabricate simple to complex parts, equipment, and repair work- weld mig, tig and stick- galvanized, stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum.
  • Operate and maintain fabrication equipment.
  • Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction.
  • Assists with the installation of new and existing equipment.
  • Assists with the necessary repairs of equipment, property, and the building.
  • Responsible to identify opportunities for improvement and to communicate those to supervisor or lead person.
  • Assists other maintenance personnel in the repair, modification, and construction of equipment and structure as needed including initiating work orders.
  • Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies. 
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.
  • Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies.
  • Complete all tasks in a professional manner- including repairs and projects pertaining to drywall, flooring, finish/trim work and painting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES  
  • High school diploma or equivalency; or one to three months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (to be determined by department supervisor).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents and instructions.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of material specifications
  • CAD Experience
  • Have the ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools.
  • Knowledge of electric and mechanical procedures.
